So I've taught you how to make a HTML webpage(and design it), but how do you make your webpage such that you can open it by typing the web URL?
Method 1
1. Find a server and its administrator.
2. Open Windows Explorer(any folder)and type ftp://(server URL, to be provided by administrator)
3. If the folder requires a username and password, get it from the administrator.
4. Copy the HTML files and relevant images or videos into the folder.
5. You can access the HTML webpages if you type http://(server URL)/(your username, if required)/(your HTML file name).html/

Decorating with CSS
Last lesson, I've taught you about how to create a HTML webpage by using Notepad. But without some decorations, your webpage will surely look dull. So how to decorate your webpage?
By using CSS (Cascading Style Sheet)! Famous websites like Google, Youtube, etc also use CSS to decorate their websites too. Try to view their sources again, and see how is CSS used in decorating their website. Confused? Visit http://w3schools.com/css/default.asp for more details.

Blog vs Website
Today, I watched a clip of blog vs website. The person in the clip, Lisa of http://2createawebsite.com told me all about it.
I' ll start with blog. Advantages of a blog is that it's easy and quick. You can just sign up, create and manage your blog by publishing post or tags upload videos or pictures. You can also design your blog in any way you want.
It' s disadvantages is that it gets difficult when you want to manipulate the design or change a large section of your blog. It's also not easy to do a massive design to your blog.
What about website? The advantage of a website is that if you learn how to master a software program, or if you are familiar with it, changing the design or layout of your website becomes a lot more easier.
Its disadvantage is that you have to arrange your domain name, find a host, and buy a software if you want to use it in order to make your website fast.
What is equal and different between two of them? The equality between blog and website is that both requires lot of work to promote. The difference between them is that a blog needs a topic for people to suscribe. They also expect the blog is updated frequently. For a website, it is more relaxed because expectations aren't as much as blog.Contents aren't needed to be updated frequently.
For me, I prefer blog because it is quick, convenient and moreover, you can update your blog according to viewer's comments.
To know more about it, watch the clip on your right.

Internet and WWW
Hello, everyone .Welcome to my IS blog. I am Teoh Zhi Charles. Now I have a question: Many people including you may have known Internet, but what EXACTLY is it? And how did it all began?
According to Mr Kent, our IS teacher, Internet originated from Arpanet, networking project by Pentagon's Advanced Research Projects Agency(ARPA). Its goal is to allow scientist at different locations to share information and to function if part of network were disabled. It became functional at Sep 1969
Internet grown from 4 host nodes in 1969, more than 1000 in 1984, to more than 200 million nowadays!
Who controls the Internet? Maybe many has been asking this question. Who? No one! It's public, cooperative and independant network. But, several organizations DO set standards.
How can you connect to the Internet? Narrowband(as slow as a tortoise, but cheap)like Dial-up access and Broadband(very fast)like WI-FI.And what are the ways to access the Internet? ISP, OSP and Wireless Internet Service Provider. What is a domain name? Text version of IP address, a number that uniquely identifies each device connect to the Internet.
What is the World Wide Web (WWW)?It is a worldwide collection of electronic documents. Each electronic document is called a Web page. It is also called the Web. It can contain text, graphics, sound, video, and built-in connections. A Web site is a collection of related Web pages. Then what is Web publishing? Development and maintenance of Web pages.
What is E-mail?It is an abbrevation for electronic mail.It is the transmission of messages and files via a computer network. Messages can consist of simple text or can contain attachments, such as documents, graphics, or audio/video clips. Internet access providers usually provide an e-mail program. Some Web sites—such as MSN Hotmail and Yahoo!—provide free e-mail services. One of the original services on the Internet.
Finally, what is netiquette? It is a code of acceptable behaviors users should follow while on the Internet
